Hospitality Network

This 90-day program offers shelter, meals, case management, financial literacy, job placement assistance & more to families with children experiencing homelessness throughout Berks County.

Our unique model recognizes that keeping families together increases successful outcomes. We welcome families of all compositions, keeping them together in safe, private, home-like settings while being sheltered versus being separated.

Our collaborative, community-based approach offers enrichment to participants and volunteers alike. It is designed to help individuals achieve sustainable independence while engaging people with diverse backgrounds to come together and form lasting partnerships.

How It Works

We are one of over 200 Affiliates of the Family Promise national organization. Our network of partners, leaders, volunteers and congregations throughout Berks County help us provide shelter, meals and assistance to homeless families & youth. Family Promise keeps families together and provides them with a safe, supportive and home-like environment. Expenses for our Day Center building at 325 N. 5th Street, Reading, our shelter homes, our vehicles to transport the families, and our staff that nurtures the families through the program are paid for by the generosity of Our Donors, and government grants.
